Responsibility = privilege

It's a mantra from my youth. I have applied it to just about every aspect I can think - school, sports, health, caring for patients, family, raising kids, relationships, and more.
It's a choice and consequence based argument. If you desire something, as in a reward (privilege), your efforts and acceptance of the toil that goes into it are essential for success (responsibility).

There is a sense of control in this acceptance but I've seen there are always unanticipated events. These do create a hesitancy with regard to the accepted responsibility. However, if the privilege is great then so are these challenges.

Choose wisely and choose firmly an you will be rewarded.

How do you balance?

Balance, wellness, health, freedom - all wonderful words, but can they be actions.

It's clear to me that we all have a choice. Everyday brings forth a myriad of choices. These choices shape our days and our lives.

I love the quote by Allison Jones " If I could wish for my life to be perfect, it would be tempting but I would decline for life would no longer teach me anything."

Hold on to your choices and make the best of them accepting that those choices and their consequences are all a part of you.
